1. School Bus Bookings:
Kelvinside Academy only provides an annual booking option, where parents secure one seat for a pupil for the entire school session.  It is not possible to book one-off journeys.

Once your child is allocated the requested seat on School Transport, you are liable for the one-off annual admin fee of £100 for the 2024/25 Session.

2. Amendments / Cancellations:
Any changes to a pupil’s use of the School Bus Service must be made via the following email: reception@kelvinside.org

The School reserves the right to make route alterations after publication, but will provide notice of any such action.  The School reserves the right to withdraw services that are under-subscribed.

3. Use of the Service:
Pupils must ensure they travel on the route for which they are registered.

Parents/guardians are asked to remind their children that when travelling on the school buses they must abide by the Pupil Code of Conduct on the School Bus Services (see below). Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in use of the service being withdrawn from a child.

4. Changes to Service:
The school reserves the right to make route alterations after publication, with notice provided.

5. Payment & Charges:
The cost for parents is the initial annual admin fee of £100 per child. Thereafter, £3 per day – irrespective of whether a child uses the bus both morning and afternoon – or just one way. There is a maximum daily charge of £6 per family to support families of more than two children.

6. Lost Property:
Should a pupil leave any item on a school bus then parents should contact Reception to report the loss providing the bus route and a description of the item(s).

7. Pupil Code of Conduct:
Pupils must follow specific rules regarding behaviour, boarding times, interacting with the driver, keeping the bus clean, and reporting misbehaviour.

We are delighted that we can offer a subsidised bus service to KA pupils. We would like to emphasise that school transport is an extension of the learning estate and therefore all pupils are subject to the same high expectations in terms of behaviour that we hold for them in school.
